Christmas in July Special: Iced Chai Orange Spritz Recipe

Ingredients
Poached Pears:

4 Planet Organic Certified Organic Chai Tea Bags

500ml freshly boiled water
-
2-3 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey (to taste)

1 orange, sliced into rounds
-
1 cinnamon stick
-
250ml of cranberry juice
-
250ml sparkling water (optional, for a lighter finish)
-
Ice cubes
-
Fresh rosemary sprigs
-
Fresh cranberries (optional, for garnish)

Orange peel twists, to serve
Method
Mocktail:

Place the chai tea bags into a jug and pour over the freshly boiled water. Brew for 6-8 minutes, then remove the tea bags.

Stir through the maple syrup while the tea is still warm until dissolved.

Allow the tea to cool before refrigerating for at least 1 hour.

Fill jug with cranberry juice, chilled chai and sparkling water.

Add the orange slices and gently bruise a small rosemary sprig in your hands before adding it to release its aroma.

Fill serving glasses with plenty of ice and pour over.

Garnish with fresh cranberries, orange peel and a cinnamon stick for a festive finish.
Optional Cocktail Variation:
Add 30ml dark rum or bourbon to each glass for a festive Christmas cocktail that pairs beautifully with roasted meats and Christmas desserts.
